What are the different kinds of breast cancer?
All breast cancers start in the breast, but there are many different kinds of breast cancer. There are invasive (meaning it has spread from its original site), and non-invasive types. Invasive ductal carcinoma is the most common type of breast cancer, making up 70-80% of all cases. Invasive lobular carcinoma is the next most common breast cancer, making up 5-10% of breast cancer cases, according to the Susan G. Komen website.
