👑 1. Announcing Our Headliner: Lou Lou la Duchesse de Rière!
We are absolutely thrilled, honored, and downright giddy to announce our headliner for this year’s festival: A royalty of striptease, Lou Lou la Duchesse de Rière!
Hailing from Montreal and the Mohawk Nation of Kahnawake, Lou Lou is an international burlesque powerhouse. Known for her jaw-dropping glamour, seamless storytelling, and fierce, soul-stirring stage presence, she was crowned Miss Exotic World (Burlesque Hall of Fame Queen) in 2022. She brings a blend of classic neo-burlesque elegance and powerful cultural narrative that will absolutely set the stage on fire. You do not want to miss the chance to see her grace our stage!

Brace yourselves for a weekend of contrast, spectacle, and raw allure. This year, the Vermont Burlesque Festival is bringing the ultimate elemental clash to the stage with our official theme: Fire and Ice.
Expect breathtaking showcases that range from icy, classic elegance to blistering, high-energy teases. Whether you are hitting the stage or watching from the audience, prepare to experience the ultimate seasonal contrast.
And sure, you can still wear your flannel to the show—there’s absolutely no reason to break with that time-honored tradition! But this year, there’s an added element of fire and ice specifically designed to inspire your creativity and preparation for the red carpet.
💋 3. The "Pastie Portal" is OPEN—and Performance Applications are now FREE!
You spoke, and we listened. While our previous format guaranteed a spot for anyone who registered, we know the high financial upfront costs involved were a barrier for many artists to simply submit an entry form to be considered for the main stage. This year, VTBF is going lean, mean, and pristine: we are moving to a curated showcase model, and it is 100% FREE to apply!
Our main Friday night showcase is tighter than ever—featuring just 12 performance slots. Because anyone can submit but only a few are chosen, this is a true Open Call for Curated Showcases. We’re looking for innovation, polish, and acts that leave the audience breathless. 🥂 4. Make New Friends, Collaborate, and Sharpen Your Skills: The Winter Performer Summit & Rendezvous
Don't pack up your shimmies just yet! We are refocusing our collective community energy into a brand-new Performer Summit & Rendezvous.
This isn't just a basic workshop; it's a new burlesque experience and artist elevation weekend. Our headliner, Lou Lou la Duchesse de Rière, will be sticking around to teach exclusive masterclasses on Saturday, sharing the secrets behind her award-winning artistry. And as a registrant to this Rendezvous, you build your own experience, and in turn the costs associated with the path you choose.
