With the help of masks, vaccinations, and the willing public, the governor of Vermont has lifted covid-19 pandemic restrictions on in-person events and the Vermont Burlesque Festival will move forward with its traditional format for its 9th annual celebration of all things burlesque - currently scheduled for January of 2022.
"We're excited to be back in the theaters with our extended family for 2022. There's nothing like performing in front of a live audience or being alive and in an audience during a burlesque show," says Cory Royer, executive producer of the Vermont Burlesque Festival. "The pandemic has really made us more appreciative of live performance art and we can't wait to celebrate with everyone!"
2022 Festival dates are January 19th through the 22nd. Performer applications are open though the summer of 2021 and performer line-ups will be announced by October 20th. Tickets are scheduled to go on sale November 1st. For updated information visit, www.vtburlesquefest.com
